Pool Family Vacation

It amazes me on how big the city of Wellington is!  No wonder it's the capital of New Zealand.  A day after we arrived we went to the Te Papa museum.  It is the largest museum in New Zealand, and probably the largest one I've been to!  It had SIX levels and they are really cool! One of my favorite levels was Blood Earth Fire. It had bits of everything!  It showed lava rocks from Mt. Ruapehu's eruption, pictures of earthquakes and they even had flood videos!
Wellington sure is a nice place to be!

New Years eve was different for us. Normally we would have turkey insted of lamb. Our family went hiking to some waterfalls. The waterfall was very hard to find, but eventually we found them. We went swimming at the waterfall. Beneath my feet it was very rocky. We didn't stay too long because we had other things to do. When we got back we decided to get supper going. Mmm...nice juicy lamb in the oven. After eating the juicy lamb we decided to have a fire outside by a river that had eels. We tried to bring up eels with rotten eggs and a flashlight.  They didn't go for the eggs, but we did see them jumping in the water.    We stayed up until midnight and saw millions of stars.  It was a marvellous day!

In New Zealand  they  have New Years Eve in the summer .We played rugby .It was very fun.we hiked to the falls. We went swimming in it. It was so hot the tar melted! We all got tar stuck on our shoes. On New Year's Eve we stayed up until twelve. We saw millions of stars. We also went eeling. We tried catching them by using rotten eggs and a meat pie. We saw them jumping. It was very fun!
